Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and there’s still time to grab a gift for the booklover in your life. Here are my top 5 ideas:
- Gift card for books. You cannot go wrong with a gift card. My favorite place to shop for books is Thrift Books (www.thriftbooks.com). If the person you are shopping for likes to shop in person, you can always get a gift card to Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Half Price Books or a local bookstore in your town.
- Reading mug. I love this mug on Amazon https://amzn.to/3CEXRX1 – when you add a hot liquid, it changes from a plain black mug in “Reading Mode: Off” to shelves of colorful books in “Reading Mode: On.” I will definitely be dropping this idea as a hint for my husband.
- Reading t-shirt. T-shirts are always a good idea, just make sure you get the gift receipt in case the size isn’t perfect. I received this shirt for Christmas and love it. You can find it on Amazon here https://amzn.to/3CMoPMh.

- Reading socks. Readers like to be cozy when we read. Also, we don’t want to be interrupted. Help your reader with both with this cute pair of socks – https://amzn.to/3XhHdE3
- Wearable blanket. We’ve already established that readers like to be cozy when reading. Sometimes a blanket can be cumbersome and awkward to situate with a book in our hands. I’ve had my wearable blanket for a few years, and it is the softest thing I own. My family always tries to borrow it from me. There are several on the market, and I have the Comfy after I saw it on the TV show, “Shark Tank.” It’s worth the hype. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the buffalo plaid one, but you can – https://amzn.to/40TV4Br
