Amazon is having a Book Sale!! If you buy 3 books, you only pay for 2 of them (usually the cheapest book is the free one). This is always a good sale to help build up that TBR stack so you don’t run out of good stuff to read. I like books a lot, and I love it even more when I can save money buying them.

Here are a few that I’ve read recently that are included in the sale:

Giver of the Stars A riveting story showcasing the “Packhorse Librarians of Kentucky.”

The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek Another story about a unique packhorse librarian who experienced prejudice because of her blue-tinted skin. This was an eye-opening read.

Esperanza Rising My son’s first book recommendation to me – this was so good. It’s the story of Esperanza, a young Mexican girl, and her journey from Mexico to California during the Great Depression, fraught with struggle and beauty.

The Boyfriend This is for my murder-mystery / crime lovers – this story will keep you guessing “who done it” until the end.

The Happiest Man on Earth Eddie Jaku was a young Jewish man living in Germany when Hitler rose to power. Follow his true story of not only surviving concentration camps (yes, he was in more than one), but his decision to pursue happiness in honor of all the Jews that didn’t survive.

The Social Graces Anyone who watched “The Gilded Age” on TV will love this story. It follows the stories of old wealth vs. new wealth in New York city during the late 1800s.

And a few that are on my radar to buy, because everyone keeps raving about them:

The Women: A Novel

The Anxious Generation
